Make Your Own Beer at Home – Cheap!

It’s very easy to Make Your Own Beer. Anyone can do it with a little time and patience. It will take you about 2-4 weeks to Make Your Own Beer. The first thing that you’ll need to do it purchase the basic beer equipment kit. You can purchase this equipment for about $75 — $150 dollars. Once you’ve purchased the equipment you’ll be able to use it again and again with each batch of beer you make. The second thing you’ll need to do it purchase a beer ingredients kit. The ingredients kit will include everything you need to make your first batch of beer (i.e. hops, grain, yeast and directions).

Once you’ve purchased your equipment and ingredients kit it’s time to start brewing! Make sure you set aside a few hours for your first brew session. You typically brew the beer (or wort as its calling right now) for 60 minutes. Several times during the brewing process you will add hops. Make sure you check the directions that came with your ingredients kit to see when you need to add the hops. Depending on the kind of beer you are brewing will depend on when you add the hops. After you finish brewing the beer you will add it to your primary fermenter.

Now that you have your beer (wort) in your primary fermenter set it in dark place that stays between 70-80 degrees for about two weeks. You’ll check the beer with a hydrometer towards the end of the two weeks to see when it’s finished fermenting. Once it’s finished fermenting you’ll bottle the beer and let it carbonate. After 5-10 days your beer should be finished!

Each beer kit typically makes 5 gallons of beer (about 53-12 oz bottles). The average cost to make 5 gallons of beer is around $25.
