The dragonfly is an ancient creature, dating back over 180 million years. These strange looking insects are found in spiritual teachings including Feng Shui. There are over 650 varieties of dragonflies with many colors.
The dragonfly spends the first two years of life in the water as a nymph. Then they change completely, growing wings and taking flight. With great speed and agility they master the art of flight in a way similar to the hummingbird.
Because the dragonfly spends such a long period of its life in the water it possesses many of the water qualities. There is the emotional, introspective quality of the water, as well as the ability to flow. The dragonfly experiences great transformation in the water, shedding up to fifteen skins.
The ability to transform from a creature of the water to a creature of the air ties the dragon fly to the evolutionary process we are able to create within our lives. Any transformation takes time, so be patient.
The wings of the dragon fly are transparent, abounding with many luminous colors. The eyes are multi faceted, able to see from many angles. This reminds us that we can see anything in life from many angles. We should always look past the illusions.

In the dragon fly life cycle most of their life takes place in the water. The nymph spends two years in the water before they transform into the winged creature we know. In flight they are fast and agile, paralleling the amazing flight of the hummingbird.
During its two year incubation cycle in the water the dragonfly sheds up to fifteen skins. The dragonfly also holds the qualities of the water, contributing to its grace. Water holds deep seated thoughts, emotions, and the yin quality of introspect.
Because the dragonfly has two distinct worlds within its full lifecycle, with the nymph stage of its earlier water life, and the air based life of flight, the dragonfly is a symbol of transformation. With all great transitions in life we must understand that there are steps along the way, and all change takes time.
Dragonflies possess the spectrums of color in their transparent wings and their vision. We can bring focus to the great spectrum of luminous colors available to us through our higher spiritual presence. The multi-faceted eyes of a dragonfly also show us that anything can be seen from different perspectives, even the illusions of life.
The dragonfly can be utilized as a symbol for understanding an aspect of our evolutionary process in life. Taken as a whole our life is very transformational, seen or unseen. We can learn patience and faith that the steps we take will lead us in the right direction.
You can use the qualities of the dragonfly totem in your daily meditation. With the dragonfly we have that transformational quality, and we can transform thoughts and perceptions into understanding and growth. We can look beyond the illusions and stories for the greater world of clarity and connectivity with self.

Our mind and soul are always in peace when they believe in religious concepts and ambiance linked with it. People adopt several methods in order to concentrate and pray to god. Buddhists use Tibetan Singing Bowls in order to concentrate and mediate. This singing bowl has come from places like Tibet, China, India, Bhutan and Nepal.
The information about how to produce singing bowls would nearly spread along all the trade routes of Asia. It was the travel of Buddha, Padmasambhava, from India to Tibet, which brought his teaching and popularity of singing bowls. According to some historian it was in India dated 3000 years ago that singing bowls came in practice and then in Tibet 1000 years ago.
Different people have different beliefs and it is same when they talk about the singing bowl. Some say it was initially used as a begging bowl and for food. Some monasteries even use it as a trophy or prize to give it to others. Smith, who used to travel from one place to another usually collected the things and materials in the journey and made the bowls out of It., while some thought it was the make of monks. Theses all the stories related to a singing bowl but the fact is that it is a special type of bell. This bell is not hanging but it rests on its bottom. Although there were so many stories behind this bell but still it is used by the people for medication and offering prayers and is a holy thing.
The Tibetan Singing Bowls is generally made up of different metals such as gold, silver, mercury, copper, tin and iron. It was also made from the remains of meteorites. The sound made by the singing bowls entirely depends on its composition of make up. The different metals are mixed as a result alloy get formed and then they are left down to cool down and finally the cooled alloy is beaten up to make a bowl. As it is thought that, the bowls are made of seven different metals some even say that there may be more than that as the one made by smith. It is said that the ancient bowls produce a larger sound than that of the today bowl as they were made of rich metals.
The singing bowls, which is made of a cast metal, does not possess good quality. These bowls are very smooth and an easy to play. You can get a bowl, which is made by a hand hammered method, but still the ancient bowl are heavenly. If you want to play a bowl, it is not a difficult task you can play any types of bowls within few minutes only.
The process is to circle a stick around the outside of the Tibetan singing bowls in a steady rhythm. After circling for a while, one can hear a slight hum, and this humming sounds increase when circling of the stick continues. Singing bowls has the unique capability to produce multi-phonic sounds along with multiple harmonic overtones. This special property comes due to the use of different kind of alloys each type of alloy mixture contributing the different sounds. Modern bowls can also produce multiple harmonic sounds if they have good quality of bronze but mostly they are made from cheaper alloys that produce only monophonic sounds.
The main use of Tibetan singing bowl is in meditation and it creates such an environment in the surroundings that one can concentrate very deeply. You can even use the singing bowl in the yoga classes where someone else plays it that helps you to concentrate in classes. The sound produced by this singing bowls is so pleasant and effective that it can keep the bad souls away from you and thus all the trouble vanishes.
It is a belief of the Buddhist to use this bowls but you can even use this outside. In the west, they are more popular due to present of Buddhist there and even for a yoga exercise. You can even produce the water memory effects by the help of singing bowls. As you play this bowls with multiple sounds then the vibration is produced in the water. You can even gift this Tibetan Singing Bowls as a sign of grace.

Alternative medicines are making a hit with people in swarms who have at one time or another heard through the grapevine about the benefits of alternative healing methods. The main rationalization for people turning to alternative medicines is due to their shortness of faith in the pharmaceutical industry.
The smartest way to research alternative health and wellness method is to check out several types of health experts as well as reading health and wellness product testimonials and reviews. I speak from experience as I personally use my own advice regularly.
Virtually anybody who takes natural herbal medicine is capable of receiving some kind of benefit or another even though they may not initially be aware of it. Even so, the wisest advisers always recommend consulting a family doctor to make sure your dietary or whatever other change is safe. Armed with all that information empowers you to make more informed choices about your health and wellness.
The more information you can understand about holistic healing for diseases affecting your mind body and spirit the better. No single resource has all the answers and we are each individuals.
This article was made for the purpose of giving public information regarding the importance of conducting health and wellness product research. The reason for that is because there are thousands of deceptive “facts” about herbal medicine.
When it comes to herbal medicine no 2 results are exactly the same because we are each intrinsically diverse cellular bio-masses ;^). I didn’t write this article for the purpose of recommending anything specific. The advice I am offering comes from personal experience as well as from a lot of reading.
It’s important for you to do your own research when it comes to your health and wellness. There isn’t anyone alive who can really recommend what will be beneficial for another person. Even though you may be more informed in making health choices by understanding what is beneficial for other people that won’t necessarily mean it will work for you.
Spiritual health is often acted upon differently then the health of your mind and body but in my opinion they all are inter-connected aspects of our being. If one aspect of who we are is dis-eased then it will likely soon be mirrored onto the other aspects of our being if it isn’t already.

Everyone has had a time when they have overlooked something right in front of them. How often does it come down to a matter of seeing what we think we should see, or want to believe? I have a story to share with you about that very topic: seeing what life has to offer, and realizing that perception does not always give us everything that is available to us.
Recently I shared a fun evening with a close, long time friend, enjoying a great desert plate as we played a friendly but competitive round of cribbage games. My friend is very good at the game, and rarely misses anything.
This series of games had a very even matched quality, ending within only a few points difference. When the third game gave its two-to-three score, it was decided to have a tie-maker so we could end the match with both of us winning.
Now the pressure was on, much more in this game than in the prior ones. We stayed fairly matched about half way around the board, but then I managed an excellent hand and crib and shot ahead. The mood at the table dropped a little with this change in the game.
We had only a couple of hands left in the last leg of the game. My friend was so close to finishing and taking the game, but when she counted she missed a few points. I could not overlook it, so I claimed the points for myself.
She responded to her loss of points by saying, I didn’t see those points, my thoughts were on the queen I threw in the crib. Those points would have, and should have, given her the game and tied our match. What happened that caused her to overlook something so obvious?
I smiled, and said, “Thank you, that goes right along with my book”. Then I rested my hand on the draft copy that was resting on the table, ready for her to read the next day. I see you’re already getting ready to read it, I shared with a smile.
We are the editors of our world. We see what is most important for us to see, and sometimes get stuck looking in one direction while missing great things that are right under our nose. What exactly is important may be dictated by our ego, our need to win, or it might be swayed by our sense of what we deserve.
Sometimes, though, we step out of the way, and let a softer yet powerful image carry through, and we see with eyes wide open. There are opportunities galore in our lives, when we can see them, and many opportunities to move ahead, whether in a game or in life.
When you look into your world what do you see? Do you feel a sense of contentment that everything is the way it is meant to be, or do you have a feeling that something is off kilter? Either way, we can always open our eyes to new thoughts and ideas, and expand our conscious way of living. Now is the time to believe in a better world.

The soul has been defined and described by religions and poets throughout the ages, yet to date there is no definitive, universal agreement as to the origin, location, or measure of the soul. Catholic belief ties the soul to immorality and after-life. The idea of an afterlife is also strongly engrained in many other faiths, Christian and non-Christian.
There has been a distinction made between the spirit and the soul. In some beliefs the soul is the essence connected with the body personality. In this philosophy the spirit is a higher presence.
In shamanic teachings, a form of spirituality practiced around the world, the shaman speaks of soul retrieval. Traumas can lead to a detachment between the soul and the body personality as a protective measure. While the person may carry on in life they carry with them the sense of loss.
People of all walks of life turn to exploration of the soul, seeking enlightenment and evidence of a presence beyond the time bound physical. Is this focus to acquire spiritual knowledge, or to restore a part of their being that many cultures ignore?
“The soul is thyself; for thou knoest that which is different from soul and is perishable. But what is the soul? asked the king. The sage answered: He who dwells in the body, who heeds the body, and at whose departing the body suffers whilst he does not suffer, for uncertainty (such as the bodys) is not his – that is the soul. He delights in his beauty, he is immortal, fearless, and himself Creator. (Passage from The Penny Cyclopaedia of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, pg 176).
The soul speaks loudly within the silence. We can turn within and bring focus to our own being. Immeasurable yes, but nothing in this world can deny us the presence of the soul.

The concept of the soul is richly described in the text of nearly every culture, present and past. Poets write of this mystical presence, the philosophical debate and discuss it. Does the soul exist, and if so is there any way to measure it?
Some describe the soul as the breath of spirit, stating that our spirit is far too expansive to bring fully into the physical. Connection can be made between the concept of the soul and our chi, or life force energies.
Shamanism speaks of soul retrieval, restoring an aspect of ourselves lost through an event that traumatizes. Most separation within the soul is a protective act to preserve and avoid harm to the soul, though damage is perceived through the loss of oneself.

In ancient texts the translation of spirit is breath. Reading back though many of the passages, this one change in translation can give new meaning those ancient teachings.

Why is it that a person turns toward exploring their own spiritual identity? Do we reach a plateau within the physical life? Does the spirit or soul hold the key to true happiness?

Time will not change our quest to see within our own souls. We may distract ourselves with the every-increasing pace of our world, but we cannot fill every moment of silence in our lives. The soul speaks in the space of silence, but its voice is unmistakably our own.
